Saturday 9th of November marked the end of the SRDL Home Season for 2013. Anyone who was there can attest to it being one of the closest and nail biting Finals we have ever had.
The Beauty School Knockouts and Team Unicorn played some quality roller derby. There were constant lead changes throughout the bout, but in the end, Team Unicorn won by a glittering horn. The final score was
The battle for Bronze was equally exciting, with our favourite rivals, the Screaming Assault Sirens facing off against the D’viants. Both teams were amazing to watch. The Sirens took the win on the night, but the D’viants were formidable opponents, and made the SAS fight for every single point. The final score was

Sydney Roller Derby League represents a dynamic, all inclusive, full contact women’s team sport striving for empowerment, athleticism and, above all, fun. The league is made up of strong, committed people engaged in a do-it-yourself approach for this fast growing, spectacular sport.
Roller Derby is a full contact team sport for women, played on roller skates. There are two teams of 5 skaters, 4 of which are Blockers and 1 is the Jammer. Jammers score points by passing the opposing team's blockers.
