Inclusion and access at SRDL

Roller derby is for everyone.

We are actively working to make our league a safer and more inclusive place and there is no place for discrimination in our sport - be that homophobia, biphobia, interphobia, or discrimination based on disability, race, religion, age or body type. All Sydney Roller Derby League members must abide by our Membership Policy, Constitution and Code of Conduct without exception.

Gender policy

Sydney Roller Derby League is proud to share the same gender policy as the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). To find out more, you can read the full WFTDA Gender Statement.

SRDL also runs special events and training opportunities with more open gender policies - please keep an eye on our What's On page and social media for these events.

We are also close buds with Sydney City SMASH, members of the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA), and CRASH, a co-ed non-league roller derby group, both of whom welcome all skaters.

Diversity and Inclusion

Sydney Roller Derby League is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and diverse environment  to participate in our sport. The league does not discriminate based on (but not limited to) race, religion, disability, socio-economic status, age, body type, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status. Our Diversity and Inclusion Policy can be found here. We strive to hold events that actively celebrate diversity in our community and hold ourselves accountable to making them accessible for all.
